“Sitting here in the living room in the first week of November with the folding doors wide open, I wonder if I have died and gone to heaven. Unbelievable,” says the homeowner.

When Pat met with her potential new clients, they had several requests: First, to live on the water, second, to design a totally programmable smart home including a Tesla roof that accommodated their lifestyle, and finally, to have a four-car garage. They looked at a raised ranch located directly on the Long Island Sound and asked if renovating the house would accommodate their wishes. “YES”! encouraging them to purchase the house; the location was fantastic. Pat was confident that together they could create their dream home.

On August 4, 2020 while the house was vacant an EF1 tornado tore through the house, tearing off the roof and the second floor’s supporting wall structure and scattered it onto the property and into the road, leaving the rest of the neighborhood untouched. The devastation offered an opportunity to look at the home through a different lens, allowing for a beautiful, sustainable home to be built.
