Description

A non-descript 1950’s ranch house was remodeled into a shingle style cottage. The house sat close to a busy road and adding a typical second story would have overpowered the street. The answer was to keep the profile low and to give the house an inviting and welcoming cottage feeling.

A new master suite, family room and foyer were built on the first floor, 3 bedrooms and 2 baths were built on the second levels.

Almost all the rooms of the house either open onto or view the very private rear grounds. The swooping front porch and 2-story entry is so inviting, people just stop by to tell the owner how much they enjoy seeing it.
