“The rising of the seas, along our coast line, has made it necessary to physically raise houses a number of feet off their existing foundations to avoid flood waters from entering the living spaces.
FEMA, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, dictates the actual height above sea level that a house must be raised so that a house can be considered above the BFE, or base flood elevation.
Our office has worked on a number of these projects, 4 of which are shown. We design, contract the lifter and help implement and oversee the entire project within the guide lines of fema and local town regulations.”
